UUUUGGGHH, LAYOVERS!

I'm off to Hedonism 3 in Jamaica to work (and party) at KINK IN THE CARIBBEAN for 5 days before I head to D.C. to work some more. Excited, but apprehensive. Only 1 or 2 persons from my usual crowd will be there,.. so I'm hoping to make some new friends. I've been assured that Kink is an event where one can make friends for life, so I'm all for that.

I'm scheduled to do two shows. One is a burlesque that I threw together at the last moment and the other is a military show I've done before.. but now I have to really change that one up. One of my main props didn't make it on the plane. FYI: American Airlines is now charging major fees for package transport. Just as well,... the prop was a fake gun.. so I was looking forward to explaining to the Montego locals as to why I was trying to bring a non-weapon that looks like a weapon into the country.. Oh well. This very nice guy at American cargo just got a really nice toy rifle for his kids to play with.

So here I am, sitting in the DFW airport.. waiting for my connection to Montego Bay. Waiting out a 5 hour layover. "Really?",.. I say to myself as I feel a lack-of sleep hangover coming on. I'm honored to have been asked to do this event... but I hate... my boss... so... much.. right... now. Oh,... and LAX. HATE that airport.

*LOL* Just venting. My bed is calling me but it's 1500 miles away. I know. I've driven the distance. Here's a map to illustrate my longing.

Which makes me wonder- At airport terminals one can find, restaurants, post offices, bars, spas,.. even a church. Why not have beds? So red-eye passengers can take a nap. Yeah,.. like a "by-the-hour" hotel? Oh, wait. That could go a totally different way. "Ma'am... it's not THAT kind of airport."

Still,.. could make some good money. I wonder if Oscar Goodman has thought of this one?

JAMAICA OR BUST

I've been very busy the past week getting ready to head out to KINK IN THE CARIBBEAN where I'll be appearing as "Queen of the Isle". This annual event is held at Hedomism 3 in Jamaica. I'm very excited and honored to be a guest this year for a week of sand, surf, and pervy fun.

To those of you attending,.. I can't wait to meet you all.. and I look forward to making some new friends.

I'll be doing one, maybe two shows at the various theme parties, a fan photo shoot, as well as just hanging out and enjoying everything the resort has to offer.

When I was a kid, Peter was my favorite KISS member,.. dunno,.. maybe it was the cat make up.. but he's coming out with his story.. and I think it's fantastic. It's about time men stop being embarrassed by having breast cancer.. and speak up about this terrible illness.

Did I run? No, but I should have! I was there to cheer on my girlfriend as she ran to raise money for the cause. Joining me were good friends Ian Rath and Eden Wells.
